Giving Voice to the Vulnerable. Shaping a Safer World.
Children and women are among the most vulnerable in any humanitarian context, and too often, their voices go unheard.
At MECOHEDI, we use the power of storytelling to protect, empower, and advocate for survivors of abuse, exploitation, and neglect.
Through radio dramas, survivor-centered campaigns, community forums, and advocacy videos, we break the silence around child abuse and GBV. We challenge harmful norms, engage men and boys as allies, and promote access to justice and psychosocial support.
Our Work Includes:
Awareness campaigns on child rights and GBV prevention
Media training for safe, ethical reporting on abuse
Empowerment programs for women and girls
Community sensitization through local storytelling
Referral and protection messaging in emergency settings
We believe every child deserves safety and every woman deserves dignity, and media can help make that a reality.
Our Strategic Approach
We work with survivors, social workers, traditional leaders, and media houses to produce campaigns that:
Break taboos around GBV and child rights
Encourage reporting and help-seeking behavior
Engage men and boys in prevention
Promote legal awareness and psychosocial support
All content is designed to be trauma-sensitive, culturally appropriate, and rights-based.
Creating Lasting Impact
By shifting mindsets, influencing policy, and sparking conversations, our work contributes to safer environments for women and children. We are helping build a generation that values dignity, equality, and protection for all.
